A young bull, Prince is always by his mother’s side. He is an adaptive fellow, and when an orphaned rhino began trailing after them (his mother was mauled by an elephant), Prince had no problem with it! Never trying to chase the older calf away, Prince accepted him into the family. The trio was easy to spot in the bush, often following one another to a pan, or wading into Kalahari mud that turned them white!
The older calf is independent enough to be in the bush alone now, so Prince is often seen alone with his mother. He too will grow up and follow his adopted brother into the bush, seeking out a territory of his own. But for now, he is with his mom.
